Welcome and thank you for stopping by the blog! I will make a solid effort to manage this blog and share not only my professional work but also give you a view into some of my personal work. You may view my recent wedding and portrait work below. There is also a link to my portfolio. I encourage you to explore the site! My personal favorites are my wedding work and high school seniors. Feel free to leave a comment about the work you see.

I had so much fun with McKenna and her parents for her 2 year old photo shoot.  She was such a good sport.  We got so lucky with the weather too!  It has been a hot, humid mess here in Kansas and a 2 year old and a hot, humid mess don’t mix.  We waited until evening when it cooled off a bit and the lighting was another great bonus!  These pictures are absolutely adorable and I adore the princess dress in the flowers.  So precious!

I loved being around this couple, so fun and down to earth.  They brought Anthony who is an absolute cutie.  Thanks Anthony for your help in posing mom and Scott.  He had so many ideas of poses and shots, maybe a future in photography?  Their wedding will take place in November and I am so excited!  I loved how this couple looked at each other, so loving and sincere.  I am looking forward to working with them at their wedding. Keep the ideas coming Anthony!!!

Jocelyn and I had an absolute blast at this wedding.  We instantly clicked with the family and felt we were a part of the events taking place.  I cannot describe to you how loving Lindsey and Kyle are to each other.  They would barely take their eyes off of each other for photos!!!  And at one point when Jocelyn was up front taking pictures she tells me Kyle kept mouthing to Lindsey “I love you”.  This is the part of my job that I love soo much, witnessing real love right before my eyes.  There are just some couples who are more outwardly with their emotions.  It is what every girl dreams of for her man to be so into her especially on her wedding day.  At the reception we learned that this couple experienced love at first sight.  We heard it in the toast from the sister and when we talked to Debbie, Lindsey’s mom.  She explained how when they first met each other they locked eyes and knew they were meant to be.  I love it, I love it!!!  Thanks to everyone for a wonderful time!  You are all so loving and kind.

Getting ready, it was so hot in this room that they had to fan Lindsey.

I loved the paparazzi!!!

BEAUTIFUL!!!!

I love emotion and the mother of the bride and the grandma show it all.

Props go out to this wedding party for a rockin shot!! You guys took it and ran with it.

What a stunning couple, you guys are too cute!

See what I mean when I say they could barely take their eyes off of each other for a picture.

Awesome idea for the moon shot, I believe it was Lindsey's aunt that spotted this. Good eyes!!

I found these awesome templates at Design Revolution, www.designrevolutiononline.com and used them for baby Emily.  I think they turned out great and I am so excited to get them printed.

This couple was fabulous!  We had a blast going around Westport getting these pictures.  We were lucky not to get too wet.  We were almost done when the storm blew in.  It was already dark because of the clouds but we managed to get some really awesome shots.  They also brought their dog Gus with them which also made it fun!  I love photographing dogs at my e-sessions, it totally brings out happiness.  Caitlin you worked it and look sassy and beautiful in all of your photos, Brian you did great too!!!

Love the look you are giving Caitlin!!!

This is my absolute favorite. The lighting was fantastic!!

If you remember a couple postings ago my mom, our friend Mary and I threw a baby shower for my best friend Melissa.  That baby finally arrived into this world on June 2nd at 8:35 pm.  Thank you Emily for waiting until we got back from Jamaica so that I could be there for your mommy and daddy when you were born!  This is our first photo shoot together and promise there will be many more.

She looks so innocent and sweet in the one on the left. I just love when babies and puppies yawn, its priceless!!!

I think this image almost made mama cry, she looks like a doll!!

Thanks to Miranda at the Cashew Downtown for setting this all up to coordinate with First Friday.  She is the event planner for The Cashew, you can contact her at this site http://www.2000grand.com for more information.

Finally, I have been working on this post forever.  Everyone has been asking me for pictures, well here they are!!!  We had a BLAST!!!! We were so sad to leave and I was sad for the whole week after we got back.  Jamaica is an amazing place with amazing people.  We stayed at Sandals Ocho Rios and it was beautiful.  It looks like a postcard!  We were upgraded when we got there to the ocean side with a view of the pool and the ocean every morning.  I woke up early every morning as I didn’t want to miss the wonderful sun and to lay out by the pool.  The beach was amazing too!  I can go on and on for days about what a wonderful time we had and how fabulous the experience was.  I can’t wait to go back.  Many props go out to Megan Hill of Destination Fun Travel as our awesome travel agent.

Yay, we are finally there. This is a view of Jamaica as we were coming in. Amazing blue waters!

This is the first night and we were so excited to see what the resort had to offer. From the view on the balcony and the heart towel on the bed to the coconut that i tried, everything was AMAZING. All you can drink doesn't hurt either!

This is where we stayed, what an amazing place. It was all open aired and our room was on the third floor.

This is what I woke up to every single day, it would rain for only 10 minutes during the day. It was sunny every morning and literally looked like this the entire time we were there.

FABULOUS!!!

FABULOUS!!!

On our way to the beach we saw this awesome waterfall.

I have never seen water so clear and blue in my life!!!

This is the back view of our hotel, we are on the right side three balconies down on the top floor.

Private cabanas around the pool, nice.

I promised that I would drink a fruity drink with an umbrella in it so here it is. Skippy the parrot is also in this group of pictures.

This is my favorite photo, I guess because it truly shows the local flavor of Jamaica.

The photo on the top left is an atempt to take an underwater pic of sea life as we are snorkeling. It's amazing how much better digital is than this underwater film camera we brought. These photos were all taken with the film camera and I am amazed at how they came out. I am so used to digital now I can't imagine my life without crystal clear photographs and I don't think my clients would either, lol.

This is a creative one that I wanted to throw in. I love the feel of this photograph.

This was the bar right by the beach that we spent most of our time at. The bartenders there were great and hilarious!

The guy on the right by AJ is Nicholas, one of the staff that took excellent care of us. The picture on the far right is one of the private cabanas that the honeymooners stay in, oh la la. The shots we are taking are Bob Marley shots, yummy!

Ahhh, the beach. Can't get enough of it!

I had to post this pic of AJ after he had to much sun, ouch. Poor little lobster he matches my dress! Too cute. This was the night when we had dinner on the dock, mmm the sweet smell of the salty ocean.

This lizard leaped on me and crawled up my leg and onto my face, it was so weird! I have never had a lizard crawl on me, kinda creepy but cool at the same time. I kept screaming like a girl and when AJ tried to get him off I yelled no grab a picture, haha. We eventually became friends and rested on my arm and later my shoulder. A lady turned around and said that when a lizard crawled on you it meant that you or soomeone close to you was going to have a Jamaican baby! Well it isn't me but I think it is funny. The guy in these pictures is Alwyn, he was soo great. He was the youngest staff worker we met and so fun and full of knowledge. I hope we are always able to stay in contact with him.

Do we really have to go, can't we stay one more day. We are soo sad to leave!!!

I am so thankful for word of mouth, it is the best possible advertising out there.  Thanks to Tracy for giving Stephanie’s mom Linda my information because now I am shooting this awesome couples wedding next June!  I had a blast photographing them a couple weeks ago, it was soo easy cause they both knew how to pose, amazing.  They are so adorable too, they just mesh together so well!  I can’t wait until next June it will be here before you know it!

I absolutely LOVE this look!!! When she told me what she was wearing to the e-session I knew it was gonna be a great day of shooting. Too cute!!!

Wow!

  • Sarah,
The pictures of Stephanie and Jeremy are wonderful! I knew when Tracy recommended you and we looked at your website, we would be happy! We are looking forward to your pictures at their wedding. Thank you so much!
All the best, Linda (Steph’s mom)

I had a blast with this couple although I always do.  We go out on the weekends together and I have known Jay for years.  I met him when I worked at Jersey Boyz in Stanley.  I was 14 and it was my first real job.  He met Amanda through friends and they have been engaged for a few months now.  They are planning a September wedding that I am also photographing.  I am so excited since they both have such awesome personalities!  I’m sure it will be a great time!  By the way did I mention that Amanda is an awesome massage therapist, she gave me a massage before I left for vacation and I had never had one before.  I LOVED it!!  So if you are looking for a great massage she is your girl!
